In this region ravaged by storm Alex last October, tourists are fewer than usual. This is one of the many consequences of a storm that hit the Alpes-Maritimes with incredible violence. Less than a year after the passage of storm Alex, the Roya valley is trying somehow to resume a “normal” life. But in Roya, in spite of titanic works, the extent of the damage weighs on the daily life of the inhabitants and on the tourist recovery, whereas this destination usually attracts tens of thousands of visitors the summer. Slow motion, permanently modified landscapes, work in progress, disappearance of certain infrastructures… The scenery has changed and there are fewer tourists.
