The NGO explained that it had 322 migrants on board, including 95 minors, of which 82 are unaccompanied.

Five of the children are under the age of 5, one is only two weeks old.

An NGO rescued a fiberglass boat, carrying 23 Tunisians, about 50 miles off the coast of Lampedusa.

The group of migrants, including 3 women and 9 accompanied minors, was then transferred to the Coast Guard patrol boat which took them to Lampedusa.

This is, for the island, the second landing of the day.

2 miles south of Lampedusa, an 8-meter long boat was blocked by the Fusco patrol boat of the Guardia di Finanza.

On board, there were 14 Tunisians, including three women, one of them pregnant, and 6 accompanied minors.

The group was taken to the hotspot in the Imbriacola district where 438 migrants were present, compared to the 250 places available.

A hundred migrants of various nationalities arrived shortly after dawn at the "Porto Delle Grazie" of Roccella Ionica. Before being rescued more than 70 miles away from the coast of Locride by the soldiers of the Coast Guard and the naval section of the Roccella Ionica Finance Police, the migrants, divided into groups, were on board three small boats at the mercy of the sea moved. After boarding, the migrants, including women and children, were transhipped onto a Coast Guard naval unit and safely taken to the Roccellese port. This is the 20th landing in Locride in the last two months. As soon as they disembarked, all the migrants were subjected to the molecular swab test and then were temporarily placed in the first aid and reception center of Roccella,a structure made available by the Municipality and managed by the local Civil Protection section.

Two boats carrying migrants were intercepted, in two separate operations, by naval units of the Guardia di Finanza employed by the Vibo Valentia Air and Naval Department. Four people, two of Turkish nationality, one Ukrainian and one Moldovan, were arrested on suspicion of being smugglers while the migrants were taken to the port of Crotone. On board, in addition to the two suspected Turkish smugglers, 60 migrants were found, including 43 men, 10 women and 7 minors, mainly Iraqis, Iranians and Palestinians who left four or five days ago from Marmaris (Turkey).
