(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 23 AUG - The race against time for evacuations from Kabul continues.
In the last 24 hours, 28 soldiers aboard C-17 and C-130 have transferred around 10,400 people from the capital of Afghanistan.
Another 5,900 were flown away with 61 planes of the international coalition.
The White House reports.
Since August 14, on the eve of the Taliban's entry into Kabul, the United States has evacuated about 37,000 people, a total of 42,000 since the end of July.
