It is both foolproof to prepare and requires only a few ingredients.

The well-known TikTok phenomenon, in which videos go viral practically overnight, regularly creates new, sometimes very curious and extravagant trends on the social media platform.

The subject of “food” is also enjoying increasing popularity here.

After the recently viral recipe for Baked Feta Pasta *, which also has its origins on the video platform, the trend is now moving towards so-called pasta chips.

Here, the otherwise “al dente” cooked pasta is baked into a crunchy, crunchy snack.

You can make the pasta chips with these few ingredients:

  • 250 g pasta of your choice

  • 2 teaspoons of oil

  • 25 g parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder

  • Salt to taste

Optionally, you can also refine the pasta chips with:

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander

  • 1 tbsp sriracha

  • 2 teaspoons of lime juice

  • 1 tbsp vinegar

You can prepare the pasta chips with all types of pasta, including the corresponding alternatives from chickpea or lentil flour.

If you want to try a vegan variant of the crispy snack, you can simply leave out the parmesan.

Make pasta chips yourself - this is how it works:

  • First cook the pasta in salted water according to the instructions on the packet and then pour off the pasta water.

    At the same time, the oven is preheated to 200 degrees.

  • Now put the pasta in a large mixing bowl and mix with olive oil, Parmesan cheese and your chosen spices.

    You are welcome to get creative here.

    The pasta chips can also be seasoned quickly and easily with any pesto at this point. 

  • Now place the marinated pasta on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and distribute it as widely as possible to give the individual noodles enough space so that they do not or only slightly touch each other.

    The pasta is then placed in the oven and baked there at 200 degrees for about 25 to 30 minutes until crispy and brown.

    If you want the end result to be as evenly baked as possible, we recommend turning the pasta every 10-15 minutes.

  • As soon as they look nice and crispy, you can take the noodles out of the oven and let them cool down.

    The delicious snack is ready and can now be eaten as it is or with a sauce or pesto.

    For a well-rounded taste experience, you can now add various dips and sauces to your pasta chips.
