Volleyball: Europeans; 3-0 in Slovenia, Italy in the round of 16

Fourth victory in as many matches for the Italian national team of coach De Giorgi engaged in the volleyball European Championships.

Today the Azzurri beat the reigning runners-up of Slovenia 3-0 (27-25; 25-20; 25-23), winning mathematically the first place in their group, that of Ostrava.

Tomorrow Italvolley will return to the field, against the Czech Republic, in a game now irrelevant for the purposes of the classification of pool B. The Azzurri's opponent in the second round will be the fourth classified in group D, therefore one between Croatia, Latvia, Slovakia and Estonia.
