Stefan Bradl will replace Marc Marquez in Sunday's Algarve Grand Prix in Portimao, Portugal.
This was announced by Honda after the Spaniard's forfeit who crashed while training with a motocross bike, reporting a slight concussion.
For Bradl, who is the HRC test driver, it will be the fifth appearance in the world championship this year.
The German in Portugal last year had obtained his best placement by finishing the seventh race.
Bradl wanted to send a message to Marquez, and comments on his return to the track as follows: "I hope that Marc will recover and be able to get back on the bike soon. Portimao is a good circuit and we got a good result at the end of 2020. It never is. It is easy to jump on the saddle, but we have covered a lot of kilometers between Grands Prix and tests ".
