Sony has started direct sales via PlayStation Direct in Germany.
The first customers are probably already receiving invitations to buy a PS5.
PlayStation Direct * is now also available in Germany.
There you can buy consoles, accessories and games directly from Sony.
But a look at the product page of the PlayStation 5 * shows that the console is also sold out here.
Apparently, Sony is currently only making the PS5 available to selected customers.
Several people report that they received an invitation to purchase within a certain period of time.

PS5 at PlayStation Direct: Customers receive invitations
Some users shared screenshots of the invitations on social media.
Apparently the first lucky ones will get a time-limited, exclusive access on November 11th.
It is unfortunately unclear who will be selected for PlayStation Direct sales.
But in order to receive an invitation, you have to be
registered
on
the PlayStation Network
and also logged in to direct.playstation.com.
The invitation e-mail also contains a very vague note, which says: "The selection is made
on the basis of previous interests and PlayStation activities
." The following factors are therefore likely to play a role:
whether
a PS4 with the PSN
-
account
has linked and regularly plays on this
whether you
already own a PS5
and have connected it to
your
account.
Sony attaches great importance to the fact that each user only receives one console.
Anyone who has already been able to purchase a PS5 via PlayStation Direct will be excluded from further purchases.
You might also get preference as a PlayStation Plus user, but that can only be speculated about.
It is clear that PS Plus subscribers do not have to pay shipping costs.
For all others, at least around 4 euros are due.
This approach may continue for a while when selling on PlayStation Direct.
The PS5 is still in short supply
, which, in addition to the high demand, is primarily due to the global semiconductor shortage, which is affecting production.
Some chip manufacturers also have poor prospects for the PS5 for 2022.
