Aldi: Customers accuse discounters of 2G - and are totally embarrassed

Aldi - The Corona rules have led to a lot of discussions lately.

Now there is speculation about 2G in supermarkets, which leads to embarrassing questions for some people.

2G, 3G, mask requirement - anyone who has entered a shop or public building in the last few months has to deal with these rules.

Some places are currently even forbidden for the unvaccinated - but these are mostly restaurants, bars, cafes or other places that are not really needed to survive.

The soon-to-be Corona regulation also states that shops that sell food, beverages or medicines must remain open to everyone.

However, fear and fake news repeatedly ensure that some people publicly criticize something that is not even planned.

For example, a woman on Facebook complains that the Aldi branch in her town can only be entered with 2G. As a result, she would be excluded from shopping as a high-risk patient who could not be vaccinated for health reasons. The number of exclamation and question marks used in the post shows how upset the customer must be! But according to information from Aldi Süd, there is no 2G regulation at all * - not even in the store she has accused of. The woman from Saarland continues to insist that a sign at the entrance to the shop indicates 2G. Another user suspects that she may have misread the word FFP2. The discounter is currently also grappling with the accusation that their advertising is not diverse enough *.

“Aldi Süd, what's up there?” Asks a user of the company on Facebook.

If you look at the section, you could get the idea that unvaccinated people will soon no longer be allowed to go shopping at the discounter.

But the social media team immediately de-escalates the situation and explains that this screenshot has already been sent several times.

After that it gets really embarrassing for the user.

So it is clear that a lot of people just read the headline, but not the entire article.

A commentator also makes fun of that.

“Wow, you really ask me to read more than the headline?” The creator of the post can't really laugh about that and accuses the “mainstream media” of publishing such reports mostly without details.

But there is no answer to the statement from Aldi Süd.
