Schweinfurt district court: mother left her daughter to men for abuse

One woman tolerated that her underage daughter was sexually abused on many occasions.

Now the regional court in Schweinfurt has sentenced the 40-year-old to a prison sentence of five years for aiding and abetting serious sexual abuse.

The girl was nine years old when the mother's 49-year-old significant other started sexually abusing her, according to investigators.

The proceedings involved a large number of attacks between summer 2018 and summer 2020 in the Bad Kissingen area.

According to the prosecution, the 40-year-old not only knew about her partner's abuse of the child, but was also partly there.

She was also convicted of countless recordings showing abuse of the daughter.

The court made the punishment even more severe because, as a mother, she would have had a very special protective function.

"Devastated"

The judge quoted on Friday an educator of the home in which the girl was housed.

Accordingly, the child is heavily burdened by the incidents.

"It looks to itself to blame and is devastated," she said.

The process had largely taken place in camera to protect the girl - who also testified.

The verdict is not yet legally binding.

The partner had already been sentenced to ten years imprisonment in May for serious forced prostitution and serious sexual abuse.

A 51-year-old, to whom he left the child in an apartment, was convicted of abuse, among other things.

In both cases the defense went on appeal.

The investigation was started by a truck driver whom the child had offered himself to on the instructions of the stepfather in a motorway parking lot.

Another, previously unknown truck driver is said to have accepted such an offer and abused the minor.
