In retrospect, Netflix is one of the absolute Corona winners in 2021. Many films that would have premiered in cinemas without a pandemic instead shone via streaming service.
There is no arguing about taste - this also applies to films. But if you look at film productions from the technical side, they can in any case be divided into successful to less successful works. If well-known actors, scriptwriters and directors are at work, this does not necessarily have to stand for the quality of a film.
But good acting and the creative minds behind the production increase the likelihood that the film will succeed - like many productions that appeared on Netflix * in 2021.
Film production companies did not have it easy in 2021: The corona pandemic and the associated cinema closings and / or low visitor numbers meant that many productions were not shown in cinemas first.
Some production companies instead struck deals with streaming platforms like Netflix
to raise cash.
