Casa Stradivari relives, it will be an international center

The place where the greatest heliuthier of all time developed the artisan and musical vision, which would have produced inimitable instruments, will be returned to the city, after the restoration works and with a new mission: it will become a creative laboratory of international scope, in which they will find space especially young musicians.

    The story of the project is the Casa Stradivari Foundation, which today presented the initiative, supported by the municipal administration.

Present were the mayor, Gianluca Galimberti, the councilor for Cultural Systems, Youth, Legal Policies, Luca Burgazzi, and the councilor for Tourism, City Brandinge Security, Barbara Manfredini.

There were also the founding members of the Foundation, Antonio Gambardella, Stefania Soldie and Fabrizio von Arx, who held a concert with the pianist KitArmstrong, at the Museo del Violino Auditorium "Giovanni Arvedi".

The dream of reopening Casa Stradivari arises from a self-addressed trip by von Arx, from Geneva to Cremona, in September 2020, in full pandemic, with him Stradivari, renamed "TheAngel" (ex Madrileno of 1720).

An exciting 982 km route,

with concerts and musical encounters in various villages in the Alps, which is described in the documentary "For the next 300 years" (directed by John Blanch) shown today at the Museum.
