Germany, Steinmeier re-elected president

(ANSA) - BERLIN, 13 FEB - Outgoing German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier has been re-elected for a second term.

   Steinmeier's re-election for another five years was announced by the President of the Bundestag, Bärbel Bas.

His candidacy was widely supported by the delegates who form the ad hoc Assembly to vote for the head of state and obtained 1,045 votes out of the 1,437 cast.
