After listening to the audio book of the psychological thriller "Die Puppenmacherin", I inevitably had to buy the first volume as well.
The novel is so exciting and breathtakingly written that I really want to read more of Inspector Trojan.
Nobody kills like him.
He won't rest until he has her.
So that he can finally find his peace

This sentence, which advertises the book on the publisher's website, not only arouses curiosity.
He hints at a tremendous story and one is not disappointed with the result.
We experience the story from three perspectives: Nils Trojan, the victim and the perpetrator.
The main focus here, however, is on Commissioner Trojan.
The traumatic experiences that he experienced in his first case, the "Federmann", have further effects in the second volume.
A fact that makes the novel seem very realistic.
The book is definitely not for the faint of heart.

From the start I was puzzled as to who the culprit was.
And I was pleasantly surprised by the twist at the end.
The fact that the traumatic experiences of the last case still take Inspector Trojan with them was also positively received by me.
There were many small details that brought the novel "The Doll Maker" across realistically.
In between, I actually had to remind myself not to forget to breathe.
I don't even want to talk about my burnt food.
A very suspenseful psychological thriller that I can only recommend.
