But the preparation in the springform pan has a highlight.

Everyone loves noodles.

Whether as a casserole, simply with a sauce or as a pasta salad: they are quick to cook and wonderfully versatile.

Here comes a new form of preparation: namely as a cake.

, how is that supposed to work?

Very simple: you place the rigatoni pasta upright in a baking pan (everything is in order here!), spread the sauce over it and bake everything together with cheese in the oven.

Sounds great?

It tastes the same and offers pasta lovers something new.

Pasta cake recipe: the ingredients

Servings:

for 1 springform pan

Preparation time:

20 minutes

  • 4 tbsp salt 

  • 300g rigatoni 

  • 150 grams of onions 

  • 100 grams of garlic 

  • 50ml olive oil

  • 250 g canned chopped tomatoes

  • 100 g baby spinach 

  • 100 grams of cream cheese

  • 2 tsp Italian herbs

  • 100g Parmesan

  • 100g grated mozzarella

Canned tomatoes are super handy when cooking.

If you happen to have leftovers, never leave them in the can.

If you like Bolognese sauce, you can of course also use it to prepare the pasta cake.

This recipe is super fast - without yeast.

How to bake a delicious pasta cake: simply in the oven

  • Boil water in a saucepan, add 2 tablespoons of salt and cook the rigatoni (300 g) in it for about 10 minutes al dente (follow the instructions on the packet).

    Then drain.

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  • Peel and chop the onions (150g) and garlic (100g) and sauté in olive oil (50ml).

    Add the chopped tomatoes (250g) and spinach (100g) and stir.

    Now stir in the cream cheese and season the sauce with salt (2 tbsp) and Italian herbs (2 tsp).

  • Mix the pasta with the grated parmesan (100 g) and line them up in a baking dish so that they all stand evenly and fill the tin.

  • Then pour the sauce over everything and sprinkle the pasta cake with mozzarella.

    Bake the pasta cake in the oven for about 15 minutes.
