“In view of the war in Ukraine, there is currently no relief in sight for energy prices.
Gas deliveries from Russia have continued so far, but the uncertain situation is driving wholesale prices higher.
We therefore assume that heating costs will continue to rise.”

Heating oil costs 62 percent more than in the previous year
Households that heat their four walls with oil had to dig much deeper into their pockets compared to the previous year.
According to the report, this winter cost consumers an average of 1,148 euros, which is 439 euros more than from September 2020 to March 2021. The cost of heating oil can also be attributed to the development of crude oil prices on the world market.
Because of the war in Ukraine, the energy price for oil is as high as it was last time in 2014
.
In addition, oil heating is additionally burdened by the CO2 price on fossil raw materials.
