Covid: Brazil, average number of deaths goes back to over 500

In Brazil in the last 24 hours there have been another 652 deaths related to the coronavirus, raising the total accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic to 653,588. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - BRAZIL, MARCH 10 - In Brazil in the last 24 hours another 652 deaths related to the coronavirus have been recorded, raising the total accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic to 653,588.

The mobile media has stood at 505 daily deaths in the past week, surpassing 500 after six days below this rate for the first time.


   Also yesterday there were also 49,078 new infections, bringing the accumulated total to 29,194,042, with an average of 50,677, 45% less than the average 14 days ago.


   Meanwhile, the South American giant of about 215 million inhabitants has reached 173,541,373 million people vaccinated with at least one dose against Covid-19, a figure that corresponds to 80.78% of the population.

Instead, 156.47 million Brazilians received two doses or the single dose, or 72.84% of the total.

The data is collected by the Consortium of printing vehicles together with the health secretariats of the 27 federal states.
