With the recent war in Ukraine, fashion acquires a privileged status to convey political and diplomatic messages.
In addition to Kate Middleton, Jill Biden had also shown subtle and strong support for Ukrainians during the State of the Union speech on March 1.
Her satin midnight blue dress displayed the emblem of Ukraine on the right sleeve, an embroidery in the shape of a sunflower.
On the same day, during the speech requesting membership of the European Union by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the Vice-President of the European Commission, Margrethe Vestager, as well as members of the European Parliament, also dressed in yellow and blue.
A symbolic initiative taken up until the last Fashion Weeks where a good number of participants, creators or guests, sported the same colors.
