Roldin's Haman Coated Ears (Photo: Ronen Mangan)

Roldin

If you are looking for special manna ears, you can always count on Roldan to surprise and deliver the goods.

Alongside the classic (and excellent) haman ears, made from crispy and great almond dough, they have also managed to bring in some particularly successful thefts this year.

Roldin's special ears, come in the form of ears with a coating, and besides being terribly beautiful and impressive, they are very, very tasty.

These ears come in three flavors: strawberry rose marzipan, dark chocolate and coconut and salted caramel marzipan - crispy almond dough filled with marzipan, and salted caramel chai in a caramel toffee crust.

These are simply wonderful and unusual manna ears.

The flavors are strong, the raw materials are high quality, the dough is great and dissolves in the mouth, and the filling is rich and dominant.

Also in the classics section you will find more special flavors like pistachio cherries - crispy almond dough filled with marzipan, pistachio and cherry coli.

Price:

NIS 14 per 100 grams, coated - NIS 6 per unit, available at the chain's branches and on the website.

Obtainable at Roldin branches

Haman poppy seed cake, we like you too (Photo: Ido Meller)

we like you too

Haman ear cake is not a new thing, we have already encountered several of these in recent years, we even have a recipe for a great manna ear cake, but this year it was from Nordinho (a group we like you too), played it out exceptionally well.

Because they are usually manna ears cakes, made from preservatives, and here they actually went for a classic crunchy dough, which is a piece of cake.

First of all its visibility is stunning and impressive, it is conveniently cut, and is basically a piece of pie, with a great crunchy dough, rich in filling, while the triangular look of the haman ears is preserved and looks stunning.

The dough, as mentioned above, the filling is high quality, delicious and indulgent, and it totally made us rethink the whole story of Haman ears.

Price: The

cake comes in three types - poppy, chocolate (NIS 82 each) and pistachio with meringue (NIS 93).

You can also buy single ears and no less delicious (NIS 5-7 per unit).

Haman ear packs will be sold at Nordinho - Nahalat Binyamin 27, at Habima Cafe (the boutique on Ben Zion Boulevard), the cafe at Ben Gurion (the boutique at Ben Gurion Boulevard at the corner of Dizengoff), Open Cafe in State Square, Vesperr in Kaplan and Derech Walt.

Haman ears made from Mickey's yeast dough (Photo: Daniel Laila)

Confectionery by name

Every year, when the time comes and Haman's ears land on the Walla!

Towards the great Purim review, the debate arises again - are yeast dough haman ears considered haman ears at all?

All in all this is a triangular yeast cake, is there a breaking of the rules here?

Do they deserve to compete in one line in front of the rest of Haman's ears?

Well, Mickey's Haman ears were eliminated so quickly that they instantly eliminated all the question marks, because if it's that delicious, does it really matter?

From Mickey's collection we tasted two types of yeast manna ears - poppy and walnuts.

Both were great.

"Meatballs" are bursting with filling, and yeast dough is great.

If "cheat" then so be it. By the way, strictly there are in Mickey's branches also named classic manna ears, and we are sure they are no less great.

Price:

NIS 5 for a yeast manna ear, NIS 39 for a box of crispy haman ears.

Filka manna ears (Photo: Instagram Fika)

FIKA

The Swedish Pika Confectionery declares in advance that their haman ears are different from the traditional haman ears, here too they are made of yeast dough, which is taken here for the next step - and baked with cardamom, and there is another version of haman ears which they bake with traditional Danish Weinerboard dough.

Unlike perhaps the Hanukkah donuts, which are a little more challenging to the palate (and we always have reservations and say we are dying for them, but some would say they are a little too sophisticated), Pika's haman ears this year were simply a consensus.

Of course there are still less mundane flavors like strawberry cream and rhubarb, or apples and almond cream, but they have all been devoured and won great love.

Above them all stood out the bitter manna manna ear, salted caramel and Daim chocolate.

The yeast dough is high quality and great, retains the beauty of texture, and gives the filling the respect it deserves.

Prices:

NIS 12 per manna ear, NIS 50 for 5.

Case for making Jacobs' manna ears (Photo: Yael Bonfis)

Jacobs Bakery

Jacobs Bakery also managed to captivate our hearts this year, with a variety of varied and interesting manna ears of different sizes and flavors, which take into account both the adult audience and the children's audience, and try (and succeed) to escape the banality of chocolate-poppy-dates as much as possible with interesting exits .

So here's a special edition of XL personality manna ears with Nutella peanut butter, poppy and ricotta fillings with amerna cherries.

Alongside these are sold smaller manna ears that come with fillings like Oreo (crispy cocoa dough filled with white chocolate and Oreo chips), Raffaello (coconut and white chocolate filling), Halva pistachio and fudge brownies and m & m lentils.

But we generally fell in love with a do-it-yourself package for kids that includes 15 units of crispy dough flattened and cut into circles, a Nutella chocolate filling spread (or dawn, to choose from), a kinder chocolate icing bag, a box of marshmallows and candies for decoration, and accompanied by a friendly explanation page.

Fun and sweet activity for the kids for Purim, and the manna ears that come out are just great.

Prices:

NIS 14 per individual manna ear, NIS 42 per package (260 grams), NIS 69 per kit for making 15 units of manna ears.

The delicacies / bakery manna ears

Bakery and Delicatessen offer simply excellent haman ears in four different fillings - nougat chocolate, poppy seeds, halva and nuts.

Their size is ideal, their dough is buttery and great, the fillings are high quality, and the balance between them is precise.

The baker's ears are proof that when you make a manna ear properly - it is one of the finest cookies there is.

Price per box:

38 shekels.

Dalal - The Confectionery

The hamal ears of Dalal Confectionery also proudly win over the classics category, as every year.

Here, too, you will find no less than perfect ears, in a small and ideal size, which will allow you to eat even two or three without blinking, thanks to a great buttery dough, and fun lightness.

The fillings as usual are also excellent, we are captive customers of the pistachio-amerna, but this year a flavor was also added to the banana lotti, which is no small abrasion.

Prices:

Haman balance NIS 5, pack of 14 units - NIS 64.

Biscotti Haman Praline Luz Ears (Photo: Boaz Lavie)

Biscotti

The baking power led by Rosella Yona approached this holiday with a refreshing and required approach at the same time, and its bottom line is the Haman ears collection that reminded us a little, and in a good way, of the Hanukkah prey.

Because after all, these are sweets, so why limit yourself to a chocolate poppy-nut?

Biscotti took their crunchy, buttery and good dough, and filled it with Belgian chocolate (deep, bitter and successful), citrus poppy (a great combination for those who like), greenish-pistachio halva that less stuck in our mouths and tended a little too much in favor of the first ingredient in the duet, Praline Luz Sweet kidnapped by the kids, and also a reddish abrasion in the form of peanut butter and strawberry jam, not too sweet and still festive.

Price:

NIS 40 for a package of 300 grams.

Apart from these, Biscotti sells for the holiday Ploden Poppy (layered cake with nuts, apples and poppy seeds, NIS 68), which was excellent next to the coffee (and without it) and very rich, as well as an original and requested hit in the form of Basque poppy cake (layers of suffering dough, including poppy seeds and almonds , 118 shekels), which was very buttery, precisely textured, and also excellent for those who shy away from poppy.

Available at Biscotti Confectionery branches, and nationwide shipments

Tati & Ilan's Haman Ears (Photo: Anna Berdivkov)

Tati & Ilan's

The Tati & Ilan's chain presents alongside classic manna ears a number of innovations and surprises, such as manna ears filled with almonds and coffee or filled with coconut and citrus.

All the haman ears were very tasty - small and precise.

The dough was crispy and thin, moderately sweet, and remained delicious even a few days after the box was opened.

The various fillings were very tasty, and suitable for both children and adults.

The ratio of filling to dough was good - not too much, not too much.

Price:

NIS 42 for a package of 250 grams.

Second confectionery

Northern Shani Confectionery has made it all the way to us and surprised with great manna ears, delicious crispy dough and smoothness.

Along with an excellent chocolate souffle flavor, less conventional flavors such as lemon meringue and manna fruit dried fruit also stood out, which were very successful.

13.9 per 100 grams, a holiday package that includes 4 gift packages with flavors to choose from and a mask - NIS 98.

Cindyz's Haman Ears (Photo: Gil Aviram)

Cindy's

All the names we already know were joined this year by Cindyz's Haman Ears collection - by a pastry chef named Cindy Brenner, who created a collection of Haman ears with special fillings such as Red Velvet, Knape, Sinbon, St. Honor character stickers and more.

Cindyz created a delicious collection, and certainly managed to break the banality of haman ears with successful and unconventional flavors.

And there’s even a round yeast cake of manna ears for tossing stuffed with three different fillings: patisserie cream, cinnamon and chocolate.

Price:

NIS 120 per kilo, NIS 4 per unit, cake price: NIS 22/65.

Haman chocolate-gum ears from Central Boutique (Photo: Tal Sivan Tziporin)

Central Boutique

This year, the Central Boutique chain offers the classic haman ears in three flavors: chocolate, poppy, and walnut dates in the vegan version.

All three are very accurate in flavors, the perfect size for a snack and have been a success among all tasters.

His dough is delicious and the fillings do not take over the taste.

The novelty this year comes as a candy-coated chocolate manna ear, filled with gum flavor that is even accompanied by an illustrated comic to complete the "bazooka experience."

Unfortunately despite the seductive look no adult who saw this haman ear agreed to even try to taste it due to the filling.

Something in the "gum-flavored filling" probably deters adults.

Children, on the other hand, were very enthusiastic about the chocolate / candy look, but even with them, there was only partial enthusiasm for the filling, which is not suitable for everyone.

In short, this time we stuck to the classic.

Price:

NIS 3 per unit, price for 15 units: NIS 36.

Available at Boutique Central

Haman Maison Kaiser Ears (Photo: CG)

Mason Kaiser

Maison Kaiser also gives their takeaway to the traditional holiday dish and offers five types of colorful manna ears - baked chocolate dough filled with hazelnut chocolate, baked pistachio dough filled with pistachio cream, baked raspberry dough filled with raspberry and almond cream, butter dough filled with halva, butter dough poppy seed.

We admit that the size and color of these haman ears slightly deterred us at first, they look a little more massive than the haman ears we are used to this year, and the colors looked a little too industrial.

However, these are good Haman ears that managed to surprise us.

Price:

NIS 5 per unit, mixed package of 8 units at a price of NIS 38.

Obtainable at Mason Kaiser branches

The manna ears of Babka Bakery (Photo: Dror Einav)

Baka Bakery

Baka Bakery offers a particularly colorful collection, where alongside the classics you will find original flavors such as manna ears made from raspberry dough filled with white chocolate and pistachio, cocoa dough filled with halva or cocoa dough filled with Italian chocolate.

Price:

NIS 39 for 12 units.
