ROME - Google Maps is the most used app for traveling: according to a study by the Apptopia platform, it is at the top of the rankings of the most downloaded applications in 2021 not only for travel, but also for the choice of places and services.
In recent years the application has been enriched with functions, the last of which allows you to understand if and when there are too many people in one place.
The app, which has thus become an inspiring tool that provides ever more detailed information, is used by more than 106 million users.
The second app is Uber, the platform for calling or sharing a car with a driver.
Although it is little used in Italy, there are 94 million downloads all over the world.
In third place is the Booking.com app which, despite the changes in the way people travel caused by the pandemic, has been downloaded 63 million times.

Google Earth ranks fourth: the platform for exploring the world in every corner with spectacular three-dimensional views has 57 million downloads.

In ninth place is the first Indian application dedicated to traveling by train: Where is my train ?, downloaded 23.1 million times in a country with almost 120,000 kilometers of tracks.
