Since snatching a frontal punch from Will Smith at the Oscars on Sunday, it seems the violent incident has actually benefited Chris Rock.
As you may recall, Rock thought it would be a good idea to joke about the baldness of Jida Pinkett, Will's wife, who suffers from alopecia.
Pinkett and Smith the joke was much less funny, and the agitated Smith took the stage, sent a punch directly in front of Rock and added shouting that he would not dare say Pinkett's name again.
But if for a moment it seemed that maybe Rock's insensitivity would hurt him in his career injury, the incident, it seems, has actually achieved the opposite effect.
According to Variety reports, ticket sales site Tickpick has updated that in the 24 hours since the incident, more tickets were sold for the stand-up show of Rock (57) in a general summary of the entire month in total.
And not only that: it turns out that being a boxing victim on the part of an Oscar winner also raises your market value, and the price of a ticket to a show has risen from a minimum price of $ 46 as of March 18 to a minimum price of no less than $ 341 now.
