While several celebrities spoke out, like Julie Delpy, Alec Baldwin and Richard Williams, Will Smith issued a public apology on his Instagram account.
“Violence in all its forms is toxic and destructive.
My behavior at the Oscars last night was unacceptable and inexcusable.
I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris
,” he wrote on March 28.
And for the Academy of Oscars, he said,
"I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the participants and everyone watching in the world."
