(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 05 - "In order to establish an energy platform in the South and to make the South an energy hub in the Mediterranean, the PNRR certainly offers important opportunities that must be seized, but I believe that these are not enough and that there is a need to deal with a other specially dedicated investment tool ", a" twin of the Pnrr ".
This was said by the Minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion Mara Carfagna during the hearing before the European Union Politics and Senate Budget Committees.
"On some individual investments and on some lines of financing if problems arise, and I believe that there will be, in respect of the deadlines for implementation due to the lack of energy, the difficulty in finding raw materials and the increase in prices - underlined Carfagna - it will be possible to foresee an extension of the times, an update of the plan. As regards the need to invest and strengthen our energy autonomy, I believe we need to discuss in Europe and obtain another European instrument, the twin of the NRP, financed with the title of the common European debt that can support countries above all such as Italy and Germany that risk paying a very high price for the action we must take that will lead to reduce,if not to interrupt the flow of gas from Russia ".
