"The eight mountains", written and directed by Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch starring Luca Marinelli and Alessandro Borghi, will have its world premiere in competition at the Cannes Film Festival (May 17-28).
The festival announces it.
The film, based on the book of the same name by Paolo Cognetti, is produced by Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Gangarossa for Wildside, a company of the Fremantle group, and co-produced by Vision Distribution in collaboration with Sky.
Vision will also handle international sales.
