Despite public expectations, neither Elon Musk nor actor James Franco should testify in Johnny Depp's libel trial of ex-wife Amber Heard.
The "New York Post" reports it.
Musk was in a relationship with Heard and Depp was convinced she slept with Franco.
Amber is expected to testify next week and the interrogation is expected to last several days.
Both Musk and Franco were on Amber's witness list released early in the trial, but the Tesla boss's attorney, Alex Spiro, said his client will not be heard by the Fairfax Virginia courthouse jury, and sources close to Franco have indicated the same.
The plaintiff was involved in the case during Depp's lawsuit against the "Sun"
based on an article in which the British tabloid had called him "a man who beats wives" based on Heard's allegations.
Musk would have been in a relationship with Heard for about a year after his marriage to Depp exploded in 2016.
