Mike Gertie, who played the character of Mr. Trigger, in charge of building and maintenance in the hit series "Friends," has died at the age of 67 - his colleague Bridget Everett confirmed on social media today (Friday).
The cause of death has not yet been announced.
Gertie played the character of Mr. Trigger, the building manager (who is remembered, among other things, as the one who threatened to gossip about Monica and Rachel living illegally in Monica's grandmother's apartment, almost made Rachel cry when he shouted at her that she was spoiled and practiced his dance moves with G. He appeared in five episodes of the hit series, which conquered the ratings charts between 1994 and 2004.

Aside from the short but memorable role in "Friends," Gertie has also appeared over the years in series such as "Seinfeld," "Free at the Bar," "Grey's Anatomy," "Waves" and in HBO's acclaimed series "Someone Somewhere."
"With great sorrow, Michael Gertie's family announced his death in Los Angeles yesterday," she wrote today on Instagram Everett.
