Because a DPD messenger stuck a collection certificate in the door without precise information, a customer complained to the company on Twitter.
Leipzig - A pick-up receipt normally ensures that customers are notified of a package that was to be delivered in their absence.
Some parcel couriers take this part of their job very seriously and make sure the drop-off location is perfectly clear.
Instead, the note caused trouble for a customer from Leipzig.
DPD customer annoyed: "This is completely wrong in several ways."
The customer noticed a pickup receipt stuck in the door and posted a photo of the sight on Twitter.
"Dear [DPD], don't you think that's a bit cheeky?" he wrote to the company.
Apparently, the delivery note was stuck in the door slot of the house in which eight people lived, according to their own statements - and without any indication of who the recipient of the package should be.
Only the tracking number was stated on the note.
"This is completely off the mark in a number of ways," the Twitter user ended his rant.
DPD responded to the complaint via Twitter
The complaint reached DPD's official account.
A DPD social media employee spoke up in the comments and asked the contributor for the parcel number and zip code via private message.
The enraged Twitter user replied: "I won't, it's not my package after all.
Simply explaining to the driver again how to deal with sensitive data would be a start.” It is not known whether the package finally reached the rightful recipient.
A DHL customer had recently complained about a delivery note.
The message from the deliverer caused a lot of confusion.
