"On a second Recovery the commission is discussing why a European question is coming forward," Cingolani specified.
"In this war economy - he concluded - some countries will be much more affected by these energy choices than others".

"In 2001 25% of gas was produced in Italy, in 2021 we reached 3%. We reduced production, but it didn't help: we replaced it with imported gas. Not only did we not decarbonise anything, but we have had a greater impact on the environment for transport, we have financed other countries and we have weakened businesses ".

"We have guaranteed 25 billion cubic meters of gas, but it will take a while to get these supplies started. From 2024 onwards, the normal value will be reached".
