Fierce-eyed,
Hopkins
had become famous playing thieves and rascals in films such as

Midnight Escape.
He died at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, in the Los Angeles region, after suffering a heart attack on May 9: his wife Sian Eleanor Green announced it to the Hollywood Reporter.
