Today, the interactive sessions of the Specialized Guidance Conference for Adolescents 2022 concluded on the amphitheater of Damascus University, which was launched by the “Here is My Identity” development foundation yesterday in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Damascus University, the university branch of the National Union of Syrian Students and a number of institutions and specialized and advisory bodies in the educational and youth development field.
About 150 male and female students participated in developing the final recommendations of the conference, which focused on the necessity of conducting field visits to public and private universities and the Syrian Scientific Society for Informatics, holding seminars with specialists to introduce university specializations and organizing meetings with university students to benefit from their experiences.
The closing sessions, in which the Saadeh Foundation for Culture, the Russian Cultural Center, the Syrian Society for Informatics, and Al-Yasir Syria Company participated included the axes of project management, library science, quality, international accreditation, strategic planning, education in Russia and grants to Syria.
University Professor at the Institute of Technology “Toronto” Jamal Al-Ali presented a lecture from Canada on project management, its skills and tools, and the role of human resources in its success.
And from the United States of America, Elissar Khoury, Master of Library and Information Sciences, Columbia University in New York, presented an online lecture on introducing library science and how to organize information and communicate it to the user in an easy and simple way.
Rami Katbi, an official in the scholarship department at the Russian Cultural Center, indicated that about 700 scholarships are allocated annually for Syrian students to study in Russia, noting that any student with a Syrian certificate can apply for these free scholarships.
The Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the “Here is My Identity” Developmental Foundation, Maria Saadeh, explained that the Foundation is working on implementing 3 programs. The first is active youth, which is training, skills development, and values enhancement. It started in a number of private schools, and the Foundation is working on developing it to reach public schools. The second is “Ajyal Club” and aims to Developing interactive projects to develop social responsibility for young people, and the third is the specialized guidance that was launched yesterday.
