For six weeks, Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard have had a mud fight in court in the US state of Virginia.
The jury awarded the 58-year-old victory.
Heard has been ordered to pay him more than $10 million in damages for defamation.
Small consolation for her: According to the jury's decision, Depp owes her two million dollars for statements by his ex-lawyer that would have damaged Heard's reputation.
These following statements played a role in the defamation process.
Johnny Depp:
"There were fights and things like that, but it never got to the point where I hit Ms. Heard in any way."
"I've never hit a woman in my life."
Heard's allegations of domestic violence against him were "nefarious and disturbing".
They are based on “no kind of truth” and came as a “total shock” to him.
Amber Heard:
'He slapped me in the face.
I didn't know what was going on.
I just stared at him."
"I've never attacked anyone I was in a relationship with."
“I said horrible, ugly things to him.
As you can hear, we spoke to each other in a really horrible way.”
Dawn Hughes (legal psychologist, witness for Heard):
Thought the allegations that Depp had violently and sexually abused Amber Heard, which caused post-traumatic illness in the actress, to be valid.
"The obsessive jealousy, the obsession, the sexual violence, the choking behavior, the death threats, it's all, as I said, very significant and often found in fatal domestic violence cases."
Shannon Curry (legal psychologist hired by Depp's attorneys):
According to her assessment, Heard is prone to emotional instability and sudden outbursts of anger, which could also be accompanied by violence.
Curry spoke of a borderline personality disorder and a histrionic personality disorder.
Whitney Henriquez (Heard's sister):
'When he was sober, things were wonderful.
When he wasn't sober, they were horrible.' When Depp took drugs or drank alcohol, 'there was almost always a fight'.
Tracey Jacobs (ex-agent of Depp):
Depp was "the biggest movie star in the world" before "his star" faded from 2010 due to drugs, alcohol and "his unprofessional behavior".
"He was always late, for practically every film." That "made people reluctant to employ him."
Joel Mandel (Depp's former wealth manager):
By 2015, "it was clear that there were alcohol and drug problems" and "this translated into more erratic behavior."
Kate Moss (ex-girlfriend of Depp):
She defended Depp against allegations of violence, saying he never "pushed her, kicked her, or threw her down a flight of stairs."
