160 girls, eight per region, will qualify for the national pre-finals of Miss Italia 2022 after passing the selections scheduled throughout Italy.
The competition led by Patrizia Mirigliani and now in its 83rd edition resumes its regular course after the long period of the pandemic and is renewed with a network of regional agents in which the presence of women stands out.
In the new local organization, a new aspect emerges as a surprise: among the competition's exclusivists there is a great prevalence of female presences with 15 regions entrusted to women talent scouts.
Some participated in the competition as a miss and then embarked on a career as organizers.
In Sardinia there are even four managers at work for the selections: they are led by Caterina Murino, an actress loved by France and by international cinema and herself the miss of the competition that she has never forgotten.
In addition to the title of the girl who represents her region, Miss Eleganza, Miss Sorriso, Miss Cinema and, in combination with the sponsors of the competition, Miss Rocchetta Bellezza, Miss Miluna, Miss Sport Givova, Miss Kissimo Biancaluna will be elected.
REA Academy is also among the partners.
To these will be added a series of special titles related to the regions and their natural beauties.
"It is an extraordinary moment - explains Patrizia Mirigliani - with our girls we will soon return to the squares of the large municipalities, to the small villages, to the historic towns of the country, to the most beautiful and characteristic places in the Italian province.
We take back our habitat, our natural stage, convinced, as far as we are concerned, that we can meet the expectations of the communities that live and work in the individual regions.
Miss Italia - adds the patron - reaffirms the simplicity of the model centered on the discovery of female talent and beauty: that of the candidates, new and modern, and that of the territory. "The beauty contest will return to occupy locations such as Villa Manin in Passariano di Codroipo, in the province of Udine, the famous Venetian villas, the Canova Museum in Possagno in the Treviso area or squares in front of renowned cathedrals, as in Sicily, or exclusive squares like that of Porto Cervo in Sardinia. And again Miss Italia will be in Cava de ' Tirreni, in Pomigliano d'Arco and Galluccio, in Campania, where the
unique enthusiasm of the public.
Without forgetting Bellano, on the eastern shore of Lake Como, Foligno, Cosenza, Lorica and Rocca Imperatore or Casciana Terme which is preparing to welcome the election of Miss Tuscany for the fortieth consecutive time.
