Lidl is now offering relocations – in cooperation with the online relocation platform Movinga.

The discounter lures with a special discount.

Customers should pay attention to this.

Moving with Lidl?

This is now possible: the discounter is entering the moving business.

As Lidl announced on Tuesday in Bad Wimpfen (Heilbronn district), customers can now use Lidl's moving service.

"Relaxed moving at the usual low Lidl price," advertises the food retailer.

Lidl cooperates with the online moving platform "Movinga".

If you want to move with Lidl, you can get advice over the phone or get a free quote at

www.lidl-umzug.de

.

For this purpose, the move-out address, the move-in address and the move-in date must be specified.

The offer includes not only the transport of furniture including loading and unloading, but also the dismantling and assembly of furniture and the packing of moving boxes, reports echo24.de.

But beware: the dismantling and assembly of the furniture and the packing of the moving boxes is not always included.

The included services vary depending on the selected offer.

Movinga also points out “that we only assemble furniture if we have dismantled it beforehand.” If you want to dismantle your furniture yourself, you should also make sure “that all the furniture to be dismantled has already been dismantled” when the moving partner arrives it on the Movinga website.

The discounter advertises that customers who book the moving service through Lidl receive a discount of 100 euros.

"This discount will be deducted from the final price after a free and non-binding personal conversation with our professional relocation consultant."

In addition, when booking through Lidl, “premium insurance” should be included.

It is not known how long the campaign with the special discount of 100 euros and the free premium insurance will run.

If you have questions about moving with Lidl, you will find initial answers in the Movinga FAQ, for example under which conditions bookings can be adjusted - for example if the moving date is changed.

Lidl offers moving service: cooperation with online moving platform Movinga

Lidl's cooperation partner Movinga is based in Berlin and was founded in 2015.

The online relocation platform advertises that it is planting "over 5000 trees per month" together with

 OneTreePlanted

and thus "significantly reducing" the CO₂ emissions of the relocation.

An article by Movinga states more specifically that it was decided “to plant at least one tree with OneTreePlanted for every move carried out, and another tree every 80 km where it is most urgently needed.”

The non-governmental charity OneTreePlanted was founded in 2014 and is based in Shelburne (Vermont, USA).

The organization operates in Europe, North and Latin America, Africa and Asia and is actively involved in various reforestation projects in cooperation with other environmental groups.

Movinga seems to fit in with Lidl's sustainability strategy.

echo24.de

has already reported on how sustainable Kaufland and Lidl really are.

Since May, Lidl has been fighting food waste with the "rescue bag".

The discounter has also committed itself to the so-called 5xD rule.

This is to guarantee that the fresh meat products only come from German rearing and production.

And: Lidl is working on new packaging for fruit and vegetables - which should not only make the food more durable and fresher, but also be edible.
