They have been a couple since 2016: Doris Schröder-Köpf and her SPD party friend Boris Pistorius.
She is Lower Saxony's state commissioner for migration and participation, he is the interior minister in the federal state.
Now the "Stern" reports: The two separated months ago.
They said they parted ways as friends.

Both continue to get along well.

Doris Schröder-Köpf is the ex-wife of former Chancellor Gerhard Schröder.
The two married in 1997 and separated in 2015.
Their divorce became final in 2018.
According to the report, Schröder-Head did not return to her ex-husband.
