One person died when a small plane crashed in Rhineland-Palatinate.
According to the police, the accident happened at an airfield in Worms.
Accordingly, the machine went up in flames after the crash.
Details were initially unclear.
As the officials in Mainz announced, emergency services from the fire brigade and police were on site.
The scene of the accident was cordoned off.
The investigations into the cause of the crash began, and the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation in Braunschweig was notified.
