Jeff Bridges: "Covid Made My Cancer Look Like Nothing"

First cancer, then Corona: Jeff Bridges has had difficult years.

The »The Big Lebowski« star is doing well today.

"Feeling good," he told the industry portal "Entertainment Tonight" at the premiere of his new drama series "The Old Man".

Filming had begun before he was diagnosed with cancer.

"We started it three years ago, then took a two-year break," Bridges said. "It was like we had a long weekend and I had this weird dream."

The chemotherapy paralyzed his immune system so much that he also caught the corona virus.

And that almost finished him off, according to the 72-year-old: "Covid made my cancer look like nothing," he said: "It blew my mind."

In October 2020, Bridges made it public that he had lymphoma.

Two months later he got back to his fans, sharing a photo on Instagram with the message: "Feel good, shaved my head, got a baby dog ​​- Monty - had a birthday, 71, man."

Jeff Bridges has acted in over 90 films in around 50 years.

He is still most associated with the character of the Dude from the US comedy »The Big Lebowski« (1998).

In 2010 he won the Oscar for best actor for »Crazy Heart«.

Bridges received a total of seven Academy Award nominations, eventually winning for his portrayal of an aging country singer.

In the Disney+ series The Old Man, Bridges plays a former FBI agent who lives in hiding but has to flee when an assassin appears and tries to take him out.
