Canadian pop star Justin Bieber recently canceled several concerts due to illness – but he did not go into a diagnosis.

Now the 28-year-old has informed his fans in a video that he is suffering from hemi-paraplegia.

The singer posted a nearly three-minute video on Instagram in which he talks about being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.

It is a viral disease that attacks nerves in his ear and face

"As you can see, that eye can't blink," says the Grammy Award winner, his right eye staring at the camera while his left eye squints.

He also can't laugh or move his nostrils on that side, Bieber explains.

He pulls up the corner of his mouth on the left side.

Get well wishes from fans and colleagues

"This is pretty serious stuff, as you can see," Bieber tells his fans.

He is physically unable to play his upcoming shows.

However, he is doing exercises for his face and expects to recover.

"It'll be back to normal," he said.

"It's only a matter of time and we don't know how much time that will be." He had to take a break and rest his body.

Bieber's Instagram account has received numerous well wishes from fans and peers, including celebrities such as Diane Keaton, Patrick Schwarzenegger, DJ Khaled, Finneas and Romeo Beckham.

Bieber was discovered at the age of 13, signed and quickly became an international success.
