It is one of the most loved and trending series, for the story, the actors, the setting and the look: it is Peaky Blinders and the sixth and final season arrives on Netflix from Friday 10 June, after having aired with record ratings. on BBC One in the UK earlier this year.

For 10 years, star Cillian Murphy has played Tommy Shelby, the head of the titular band of the epic saga, increasingly determined to make his way in life, at any price after the enormous suffering experienced in France during the First World War.

Created by Steven Knight and produced by Caryn Mandabach Productions, set in Birmingham in the 1920s and 1940s, Peaky Blinders began in 2013, winning a Bafta for Best Drama in its fourth season.

Over the years it has grown in popularity around the world,

with social media with millions of followers.

The series sinks into English culture with the times of the working class but evokes The Godfather and American gangster movies.

And with an all-star cast from Adrian Brody to Sam Neill, from Tom Hardy to Anya Taylor-Joy.


Filming last season had to stop for Covid and co-star Helen McCrory (Harry Potter, Skyfall), who has been aunt Polly since the first episode, died prematurely before filming began.

The sixth was the last season, but the ending is quite open.


    Steven Knight announced a while ago that it will be a Peaky Blinders movie starring Cillian Murphy and Paul Anderson, two of the beloved protagonists of the series.

Even the standard look has been important in recent years: the haircuts of the protagonists, the cigarette trousers, the velvets, the brood snapp (the English cap / scoppola) have made Peaky Blinders iconic.

Cillian Murphy, Irish from Cork, has won numerous awards with the series, becoming one of the favorite actors of Christopher Nolan who also wanted him in the latest unpublished Oppenheimer in which he stars, playing the troubled American scientist J.
