(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 16 - In the last academic year 2021/22 there was a decrease in enrollments -3% compared to 2020/21, stronger in the universities of the South (-5%).

Furthermore, the number of enrolled students is still lower today than in 2003/04 (-5%).

It emerges from the 24th Report of the AlmaLaurea Interuniversity Consortium, an annual photograph on the 'occupational profile and condition of graduates', presented today at the University of Bologna.

Another important fact that emerges from the report is that for graduates, employment and salaries are increasing even if, one year after graduation, the job is mainly fixed-term and concerns about 40% of the employed (41.4% level and 38.5% second level graduates).

In 2021 the employment rate compared to 2019, one year after the title, marks a + 2.9% for second level graduates and only + 0.4% for first level graduates.

The net monthly salary, again one year after graduation, in 2021 is + 9.1% for first level graduates, equal to 1,340 euros, and + 7.7% for second level graduates, equal to 1,407 euros.
