Two Americans thought to be fighting for Ukraine died in Donbass, in the east of the country.
This was known by a spokesman for the US State Department quoted by ABC news.
"We can confirm the recent death of two US citizens in the Donbass region of Ukraine," the spokesman said.
"We are in contact with the families and we provide all possible consular assistance".
"Out of respect for families - he concluded - in this difficult moment, we have nothing else".
Thirteen Russian missiles
hit a railway infrastructure in central Ukraine, in the Kirohovrad region, killing and injuring several people according to local officials, the Guardian writes.
Local governor Andriy Raikovych wrote on Telegram that rescue teams are working on the spot and that a small district of the regional capital, Kropyvnytskyi, was without electricity after the attack.

This was announced by the mayor of the Ukrainian city, Ihor Terekhov, in a post on Telegram according to what Ukrinform reports.

And the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, reported that powerful explosions were heard in the city, where sirens sounded at dawn.
"At around 4:30, powerful explosions were heard in Mykolaiv," Sienkevych wrote.
