(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 23 - Two Americans who were thought to be fighting for Ukraine died in Donbass, in the east of the country.
This was known by a spokesman for the US State Department quoted by ABC news.
"We can confirm the recent deaths of two US citizens in the Donbass region of Ukraine," the spokesman said.
"We are in contact with the families and we provide all possible consular assistance."
"Out of respect for families - he concluded - in this difficult moment, we have nothing else".
