They are said to have given invented numbers when billing corona tests and thus generated more than 645,000 euros: In Nuremberg, the public prosecutor’s office accused two operators of corona test stations and one employee of commercial fraud.

Two suspects are in custody due to the risk of absconding.

The two operators of test stations in Nuremberg, Fürth and Schwabach are said to have billed for more tests than they actually carried out.

They are said to have charged excessive procurement costs for the purchase of the rapid tests.

The employees are said to have counted the tests carried out using a tally – the entrepreneurs are said to have then passed on the figures to the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.

In May and June 2021, the accused are said to have wrongly received a good 435,000 euros in this way.

In July and August they are said to have billed another 210,000 euros too much, but the money was no longer paid out because of the procedure.

The third accused is said to have helped to report the wrong numbers.

The reason for the investigation was a report of suspected money laundering by a bank.

One of the accused has largely confessed, the other two refused to testify.
