On October 21st, the new album by US singer Taylor Swift should be released.

She explained that herself at the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony, just as she was thanking her for the most important prize of the evening: the 10-minute video for her song "All Too Well" was voted the best clip of the year.

So far it has not been known that Swift is working on a new album with fresh songs.

The anticipation of their fans should be all the greater.

Swift hasn't released a new album since 2020.

During her acceptance speech, she announced that she would share more details about the new work in a few hours.

The Video Music Awards (VMAs) were presented for the 39th time.

The gala took place on Sunday evening (local time) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and was moderated by three rappers, LL Cool J, Jack Harlow and Nicki Minaj.

With seven nominations each, Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X were the big favorites.

Singer Bad Bunny from Puerto Rico was awarded artist of the year.

US singer Dove Cameron - former Disney star - won in the Best New Artist category.

Johnny Depp: "I needed the work"

Actor Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance during the awards ceremony: his face appeared digitally on an astronaut helmet – the VMAs winner's trophy is modeled after an astronaut.

"I needed the work," said Depp at the beginning of the gala.

It can also be booked for birthdays, weddings or funerals.

The appearance is assessed as part of Depp's attempt at rehabilitation: In a six-week defamation trial, ex-husbands Depp and Amber Heard had accused each other of domestic violence.

At the beginning of June, a jury largely sided with Depp – but also agreed with Heard on some points.
