In "NBA 2K23" basketball fans can expect the most extensive "My Career" mode to date.

It features prominent guests again.

Compared to football, basketball is probably more of a fringe sport.

But when it comes to sports games, the "NBA 2K" series is clearly one of the top dogs on the video game market - even if football is also ahead with "FIFA".

Both games have had to endure the same criticism in recent years: fans complain every year that it's basically always the same game and only has a few innovations to offer.

But 2K and the developers of Visual Concepts always make sure to bring in as much variety as possible.

In the new "NBA 2K23", for example, classic NBA teams from the 80s and 90s will be more in focus - the popular "Jordan Challenge" is also returning.

In addition, the developers promise the most extensive “My Career” mode to date.

"NBA 2K23": "My Career" mode will be particularly extensive - with a large focus on music

In My Career mode, players jump straight into the NBA Draft and can choose the team they want to play for.

But college basketball fans needn't be sad: Flashbacks will see players reenact their college careers.

They can choose to be an alumnus of the University of North Carolina (Michael Jordan's team) or Georgetown University.

As in its predecessor, players not only have to advance their careers on the field, but also with fashion and music, among other things.

In "NBA 2K23" the latter in particular will play a greater role.

For this, the developers hired the rapper J. Cole, who will appear in the story.

He also has the special honor of being the first musician to be on the cover of the "NBA 2K23 Dreamer Edition".

According to the developers, the "My Career" mode will be more extensive than ever.
