(ANSA) - NEW DELHI, 04 SEPT - Tomorrow, in Calcutta, along the central Park Street, the activities of a new center for street children of the Missionaries of Charity, the order founded by Mother Teresa, will be inaugurated.
The opening will coincide with the celebrations to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the death of the nun of Macedonian origin, proclaimed blessed by John Paul II in 2003 and saint by Pope Francis in 2016.
"We continue to carry on the legacy of the Mother, offering free of charge all the good we can ", says Sister MaryJoseph, superior general of the order since the first months of this year.
Also tomorrow, shortly after dawn, the mother house of the order will open its doors to allow the faithful to participate in mass, in the room that houses the tomb of the Holy.
"The communities of Catholics will hold masses and moments of prayer throughout India to remember the figure and example of the mother", confirm to Ansa from the Apostolic Nunciature of Delhi.
