The 1,607 students, aged 5 and up, began to fill the Piazza del Duomo in Milan from 7 in the morning, who responded to the invitation of a collective dance lesson with Roberto Bolle.
This is the most anticipated event of the 2022 edition of On Dance, the event dedicated to every form of dance, born from an idea of the etoile della Scala in 2018. "It was a very strong emotion to see this square full, so much enthusiasm on the part of these young people and above all a lot of discipline - Bolle said at the end -. This is the image chosen this year to send to everyone, and especially to institutions, the message of the importance of dance, as a passion, as a moment to be together, and also as a job: dance must be defended and supported ".

For the White Ball, the students of a hundred dance schools from 17 Italian regions arrived.
All dressed in white for the bar exercises indicated by Bolle, to which was added surprisingly, as the first student of the lesson, also the dancer of the Scala Nicoletta Manni, on the box in the center of Piazza Duomo.
The students were very emotional and disciplined for all 40 minutes of the lesson, while all around the churchyard crowded the audience who applauded at every step.
Il Ballo in Bianco was created in collaboration with AssoDanza, an association for the protection and representation of the world of Dance which has over 10,000 protected associations in Italy, representing 75% of the entire sector of the Private Dance Schools, which number about 15,000.
There are 30,000 teachers, choreographers,
educators, in the cultural, sporting and social fields and reach around 2.5 million Italian families with their activities.
On Dance, which began on September 2nd, ends tomorrow night with the Final Show at the Castello Sforzesco.
