Cloudflare does not hide having made this decision reluctantly.
The American company stopped providing security services to the Kiwi Farms forum on Saturday, leaving it vulnerable to computer attacks aimed at taking it offline.
This decision comes as several press investigations have highlighted the actions of this forum bringing together a community adept in violent harassment campaigns, online and offline, which have led to at least three suicides since 2015.
The victims of these coordinated operations are mostly transgender people or people with neurological disorders.
Their harassers collect their personal data (home address, employer, etc.) to spread rumors of pedophilia or make the police believe that they are about to commit a mass murder.
One of those targets, Canadian content creator Clara Sorrenti, fled this summer to Europe in an attempt to escape Kiwi Farms.
But these Internet users have succeeded…
