In a statement, the Queen actress announced that season 5 of The Crown will premiere on Netflix in November 2022.

Elizabeth Debicki will play Princess Diana and Olivia Williams will play Camilla Parker Bowles.
Jonny Lee Miller will star as Prime Minister John Major in season five of Netflix's The Crown.
In the fifth season, Imelda Staunton, known as Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter, takes on the role of Queen Elizabeth II in the Netflix series The Crown.

Details of the plot have been kept top secret, but according to
Variety
, the fifth season of "The Crown" is about the 90s and the death of Lady Diana in 1997.
According to the report, 16-year-old Rufus Kampa has been cast as Prince Harry and 21-year-old Ed McVey as Prince William for the sixth season of the hit Netflix production.
This suggests that season 6 will deal with the aftermath of Diana's death and the lives of her sons in the early 2000s.

The author of "The Crown" expects a break from filming after the death of Queen Elizabeth II
After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Peter Morgan, the screenwriter of "The Crown", expects a break from shooting, as the German Press Agency (dpa) reports.
Out of respect, the filming of the sixth season "The Crown" would be interrupted.
The series will be a "love letter to the Queen," according to Peter Morgan.
I expect we'll stop filming out of respect too.
