Richard Carapaz won the 20th stage of the Vuelta, from Moralzarzal to Navacerrada, while the Belgian Remco Evenepoel is one step away from the final victory.
The Ecuadorian, with his third success in this edition of the race (he won the 12th and the 14th stage), crossed the line eight seconds ahead of Thymen Arensman (DSM) and 13 seconds over Juan Ayuso (UAE) .
Evenepoel has kept his red jersey and on the eve of the grand final in Madrid he has more than two minutes ahead of Enric Mas (Movistar) and more than five minutes on 19-year-old prodigy Juan Ayuso (UAE).
