The singer's lawyer, José Andréu-Fuentes, immediately denied.
He notably declared that
“these allegations are extremely shocking and completely removed from reality.”
Adding and confirming half-wordly that the nephew of the artist is once again behind this legal action:
"When this man previously made similar allegations, his legal action had to be withdrawn - in particular because he -even admitted under oath that Ricky Martin had never assaulted him in any way."
Last July, 21-year-old Dennis Yadiel Sánchez Martin had already accused his uncle of violence and incest.
This complaint had, at the time, resulted in a restraining order "
based on completely false allegations"
, according to Ricky Martin.
Ricky Martin lost $10 million
The Latin American singer had sued his nephew who had tried to damage his reputation.
Deemed false, the accusations of the latter had a huge impact on the career of Ricky Martin.
A measurable impact financially, since the singer would have lost 10 million dollars in canceled contracts and projects.
“Defendant Dennis Yadiel Sánchez Martin's reckless, malicious, and culpable actions were motivated by a desire to expose plaintiff to the hatred and contempt of his fans, threaten his business opportunities, and destroy his reputation
,” it reads. in the trial record.
The lawyer of the singer, condemns, as for him firmly this new complaint:
After having been sued for having tried to extort Ricky Martin, he tries again to spread his lies.
It is high time the media stopped giving this deeply disturbed individual the oxygen of publicity and allowed him to get the help he so clearly needs.”
