Judge Raphael Mall read out a criminal complaint filed by the family of the police officer who died in the murder trial of two police officers who were fatally shot at the end of January in Rhineland-Palatinate.

She accuses the main defendant of having passed on two crime scene photos of the killed woman from investigation files in prison.

This is "grossly offensive and outrageous behavior," Mall quoted as saying.

The family is reporting "violation of the most personal sphere of life and personal rights".

The main accused is 39-year-old Andreas S. The public prosecutor assumes that he and the second accused Florian V. hunted poachers.

The policewoman and her colleague discovered the men during a traffic check on a district road.

According to the indictment, S. shot the police officers to cover up the poaching.

On Monday, V. gave detailed personal information in court for the first time.

The 33-year-old had been silent in the district court of Kaiserslautern – now he answered about 40 questions from judge Mall.

In it, the Saarlander described a difficult youth after the divorce of his parents and a temporary move to Italy.

Mall was unable to ask the eagerly awaited questions about the crime: an important expert was missing due to corona disease.

The public prosecutor's office accuses V. of attempting to frustrate criminal prosecution: he helped to cover up the tracks.

Experts from the State Criminal Police Offices of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate are to be questioned on the next day of negotiations next Friday.

The psychiatric expert is not needed for this, it said.

The further testimony of Florian V. is now expected for September 28th - provided that the expert can then participate in the process again.
